I go to wallet and press the + button to add a card.
Instead of the add menu, I get a pop up asking me to look for + sign in apps with cancel and more info options.
More info takes me to explanations on how to add boarding passes etc but not info about adding a card.
Any help will be appreciated.

There are other possibilities, error messages are usually generic and only through a lot of experience can you start to develop what are the most likely resolution.
Many Thanks, The region setting under Language and Region was stuck in a wrong value. I had checked the Apple ID region but not the language.
Yet another Apple implementation. Why would it not just say your region is not supported by Apple Pay instead of giving me some irrelevant message.
