How can I secure Wallet with a password?

I hate that anyone who picks up my iPad can go to the settings and just see how much money is in my savings account through the wallet setting. Turning off Apple Cash does not disable it. And there is not any security measures to prevent someone from opening and viewing my savings account either. Is there a fix for this?

Apple publicly announced at WWDC in June that iOS and iPad OS will get lockable apps etc. at some point when iOS 18 is publicly available next month (September).

Beta software is not allowed to be discussed here, but this will resolve your issue. Patience and you’ll have a solution shortly.

While that is true, there are other areas one inside the device that offer an extra layer of security. For example Apple ID > Payment and Shipping has the facial recognition authentication before that area can be accessed.

While I do think that your response was true and obvious, it offered no genuine solution or help.

What I had hoped for in this case was perhaps an area within the Settings where I could enable extra security that maybe I didnt know about.

You can turn on Stolen Device Protection for an extra layer of security on your iPhone, when your iPhone is away from familiar locations, it will add a layer of security, including the wallet. Good luck! ✌️

According to Apple, Face ID or Touch ID biometric authentication: Some actions such as accessing stored passwords and credit cards require a single biometric authentication with Face ID or Touch ID — with no passcode alternative or fallback — so that only you can access these features.
