A question about 2 separate Online Orders from the Apple Store Online

Hi there,


On Pre-order day (Friday, 13th) I placed 2 separate orders for 2 iPhone 16 Pros.

Order One: used two gift cards for payment - made about 30 mins after pre-order starts

Order Two: used my credit card for payment - made about 9 hours after pre-order starts

I received confirmation emails with order numbers and everything showing as it should for both orders within minutes of each order online. However, neither the gift cards nor my credit card were charged immediately after completing the order online. The orders are showing as "Processing" now. Is that what it should be? Or should be at another stage?


Earlier today I finally got a notification from my credit card that my card has just been charged for Order Two.

I went to check the balance of the gift cards right after that and both gift cards used in Order One still show the same amounts as before I made the orders. The gift cards still remain not charged.


My question is - could there be something wrong? I am worried Apple could just cancel my order if my gift cards don't work...

But in a case like that - would they let me come in store and still try to charge me anyway while they keep the device reserved for me?

I am worried because I really count on both devices being available for store pickup on the day of the launch (as that's what it was showing when I purchased them and in my confirmation emails).

Has anyone had any trouble with the Apple Store not charge their gift cards and just plainly cancel their order without trying to ask for an alternative method of payment?


Does anyone have experience purchasing with gift cards and does anyone know more about why mine still haven't been charged?

Any experience and opinion is welcome.
