Hello.. Something weired started happening after I updated my iphone to iOS 18 .. the sound suddenly disappears.. and I had to restart the phone twice to get the sound back again..
did any one have this issue after the update?

I too have no sound after updating to 18.0. And restarting several times has NOT helped!
I had the same problem. After trying lots of different things I turned off the Lock Sound switch and turned it back on and the sounds worked.
Same issue. I paired with my EarPods and turned up volume. Shut off EarPods and speaker worked. DONT turn volume all the way down.
Anyone recommend a third party mail app? I am tired of this BS from Apple

I am trying using Gmail app and guess what - you get sound alerts for new email...
Don't get alerts for gmail, hotmail or icloud mail. Interestingly I am trying the Gmail app and I get sound alerts with it...

Same exact issue. Yahoo email app sounds work however which I’m using until the Apple email sound notification bug is fixed hopefully.
They need to fix this asap

my iwatch would not ping my iPhone, I had voice shortcuts on. If you turn this off you can ping your phone. This seems really strange behaviour
Since the update I get no sound when opening games on my phone. Have to restart my phone. Never happened before this update.
My favorite thing about this iOS 18 is how much time and energy you spend in your apps and how many hours you spend with it every time
My phone is not ringing out loud since i updated to iOS 18 i have to restart for it to ring out loud and that’s only for some minutes until i have to restart again
