How can I access the Camera in Notes on iOS 18?

Before I updated recently to iOS 18 on my iPhone 12 Pro, the camera icon would appear in the line above the keyboard when composing a note in the Notes app. After the update, the camera icon no longer appears. An Apple support agent was finally able to help. Now you have to click on the paper clip (attachment) icon above the keyboard. That opens a submenu on which the camera and scanning options appear.

Why can’t Apple ever correct their old instructions when updated I.e. there is no camera on the toolbar now, instead there is a paper clip to get to scan.

WOW Would that be sooo difficult ……..!!!

Unfortunately when I just did a google search for this it pointed me to this older version which is not updated. How to scan documents on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

Glad to see they do have an updated doc out there, it's just not the first that comes up. Even going to apple support and searching 'how to scan document on iPhone' the first relevant response is a link to the older version.
