How to Resolve iPhone 16 Pro WiFi Connection Problems?

I had the same problem. After trying Network reset etc. I delete the VPN App, which seemed to be the problem. Now it works.

I have the same issue! Called Apple and they were of no help. Tried literally everything and it is not working. My old phone works totally fine on my home WiFi and all of my other devices have no issues. It is the new iPhone 16 Pro that I am having major issues with.

Same think, iPhone 16 connected for a day or so and then "unable to connect to network" despite router reset, phone restart. I'm not running a VPN so that fix doesn't apply. My older devices connect, my Xfinity app shows all network devices working and I WAS able to connect to different network in another building. Any answers besides remove VPN?

I had the same problem. Worked two days ago when I got it and quit just about two hours ago. I tried turning off the VPN and it seemed to solve the problem. Hope this helps.

If you are running a VPN turn it off. This is almost always the problem when people mention this issue.

Do your Part: Provide Apple with feedback on this, letting them know about this issue.  Apple may not get back to you directly, but the more feedback they receive on this, the more they will know what is occurring, and what bug fixes to include in updates to come. Apple will know nothing of this, if you don't report it to them.

3. Comment: to when this issue began, and how you have troubleshot it, thus far. Include the URL of this thread

This is absolutely ridiculous. We run four businesses and are all Apple device people and are completely debilitated right now with the wifi connection issues. We do not have any VPNs and have very high speed commercial wifi. We are in entertainment and run air bnbs and a spa. It’s absolutely terrible. We called Spectrum and blamed and they came and brought new equipment and speed tested everything because how could it possibly be our brand new iPhone 16 pro 1 tera?! The spectrum tech asked if we had new iPhones and said his wife has the SAME issue. This is a known problem. It’s all over the internet. How do you release a phone with issues this bad and if you do how do you not fix it promptly l?! Apple support acts like they have no idea and I finally told the guy to google it. Do better Apple and in the meantime please can someone help me with fix ideas? We’ve tried everything. Today both of our new phones are not only crap Wi-Fi when they do connect but aren’t even seeing my WIFI at all. Arrrrgh 😫

Same issues here. I was resetting my router like an idiot because I had so much face in Apple's quality. Very disappointed. It's a major issue. Big enough to switch back to my iPhone 15

This was my issue. Had a new app from previous phone that created a local VPN. However, since this was WIFI only, it immediately killed the WIFI and then had no way of working. "VPN Status" was not connected. However, once I switched VPN apps, it immediately connected to WIFI.

If you're having WiFi connection problems on your iPhone 16 Pro, it could be due to your network settings.

🤔 You can try checking your WiFi settings first or resetting the network settings by going to *Settings* > *General* > *Transfer or Reset iPhone* > *Reset* > *Reset Network Settings.

Don't worry, this won’t delete your data. After resetting, try connecting to WiFi again. If that doesn't work, you can search for other fixes related to iOS 18 WiFi issues online. Good luck!

Mine is definitely connected to wifi but tells me it’s not when trying to set up eSIM - Internet connection required message. I have also restarted and reset network settings. Very frustrating

I turned off “Private WiFi Address” and it seems to be working instantly. Will see how long this lasts, hopefully an update can resolve this.

WiFi not connecting, have to turn it off when using apps or on calls. Tried resetting modem, confirmed I do not have a VPN. Worked with no problem on my iPhone 13 but having issues now on iPhone 16 pro max

Mine can’t update and it is not recognising it is connected to wifi but it definitely is. Very annoying
