This feature worked after I upgraded to iOS 18...today (2 days later), it's gone. I've tried testing it on multiple recipients (iPhone and Android users) and myself. Additionally, I've restarted the phone to no success. The ability to schedule texts was one of the key features that kept me on Android for years...please fix this ASAP

you are a truly awesome person hadn't thought to contact support directly. and you are 100% that we are comprehending that "Any Device" means just that any device that has cell or texting services is what is supposed to be supported just like it is on android. on android you can schedule messages no issues doesn't matter if they're on a nokia phone from the early 2000s or if they're on a iphone just works. after this ordeal because i only have one or two friends with iphone i am switching back to androids.

Tried all options provided in this forum. The fact that it doesn’t work when texting non iPhone users shows the low level of developer intelligence.

This is my first iPhone, BIG MISTAKE. I HATE it. Will not buy another one.

My Samsung S8 had this ability in 2018 regardless of the recipients phone make and model.

I keep telling myself I want to come back to apple, as I'm the only one in the household who now uses a device non apple (s23ultra), but I still use apple accounts from my phone for storing my media and the music app. But I really really really am having a hard time even considering giving up features like delayed messaging. And even customization of my screens and apps, grid, and widgets.

I came to Samsung for the camera. I'm staying for literally so much more.

I feel duped by Apple. The fact that my scheduled message recipient had to be another Apple user was never made clear. I left 20 years with Samsung Android hoping to get a better experience. I hope Apple can get past their exclusivity delusion and realize that business owners and managers have a lot of employees that don’t use Apple.

If Apple wants to have more LOYAL customers, don’t make the new ones- who left the very product Apple users despise- feel like you’re DUPING them.

I have an iPhone 16 Pro with IOS 18.2. I’ve just tried using the Send Later option but it only worked when sending to another iPhone but not to a Samsung which is very disappointing as it would be a really useful feature for me.

Hopefully, Apple's bot comes across this thread finding that we all want it fixed to text our android users as well.

SO tired of Apple being territorial, I really like this feature is it allows me to get some stuff done when I wake up early as well not waking my friends or others at 4 AM. also nice for people I text in other times zones. SMH, don't understand why Apple is limiting it, Android has had this tech for a while.

I have the iPhone Pro16 (IOS 18.3.1) and it works for me if I send a message to myself or another iPhone user (a big let down that it doesn’t include Android phones as well). Don’t know if it helps but the first time I tried it I had opened a new message and typed the recipient’s name in then pressed the + sign and didn’t get the Send Later option. I had to press the + sign before entering any text and then the option was there (on mine anyway). Sorry if you’ve already done it that way with no luck. I’ve also tried it with the Focus setting on and off and it still gives me the Send Later option.

I can “send later” to most of my contacts who have an iPhone, but all Apple features are unavailable for one iPhone contact. It worked before then suddenly stopped. I can’t reply directly to this contact.

It isn't that "Send Later" only works with people who have iPhones. "Send Later" only works with people who are using iMessages. It's possible that person is, for some reason, not currently using iMessages.
