The Posts on this site appear in random order so it is difficult to see discussion chronologically. Is there a way to sort them by date?

Within a thread, you can choose “Sort By: Oldest”, which you can find on the right hand side, just below the original question.
There is also a profile preference for that, which should make it the default anywhere on the forums.

To get there, on the Browse Communities page, on the right is the dropdown menu.
