Is anyone else having issues with editing photos in the new IOS 18 update? I can't seem to change the color of the text when I go to edit the photo. The option comes up and then disappears right away. Hopefully a bug they will fix soon as I have to add text to photos for work when it comes to labeling rooms/information.

Same happening to me on my new 16 Pro, and checking on reddit, many people having the same problem.
I think Apple should quickly look into this. It is a shame that they have bugs like this on a $1000 plus phone…
Same issue here on a 15 pro max. Worked fine until tonight’s update to 18.1.
Yes upgraded to 18.1. has really done it this time. Have you had success?

I’m having the same issue since updating and am not too happy about this as I use that for business photos continuously. Going it gets fixed ASAP
This worked but it still needs Apple’s attention to work correctly.

This seems to be a real problem. Markup works fine for me and for many others. Some people have reported that with two phones in their family, one works and the other doesn't. The differences occur even with the same camera model, the same operator, and the same OS. There's probably noting that we can do differently with our phones to fix it.
This is going to make it a crazy problem to solve.
Nothing works to fix the text markup function iOS:18.1.1.
I’ll just have to learn to live with Black Text. Surely Apple could fix this bug, but seems this has been dragging on for so long now looking at this community thread.
Unbelievable Apple that Apple didn’t rectify this software issue before the last iOS 18.1.1 update. I guess, as so many other people are experiencing this same problem, that I can assure myself my iPhone 13 has been hacked😅

Just tried and worked well. Is there a way to change the font size? I couldn’t find option to do it.
Have you upgraded to 18.1? The font size is located in the same box that pops up for adding text color/size/type/position when utilizing the Markup tool.
Update: Seems like with the new update, the bug was fixed. It works on my phone now.

Same. These have rendered the once great photo editing function useless and unpredictable.
