Can’t find files on family sharing

My husband and I both have iPads. I also have MacBook Air. When I upgraded Mac today, my husband was set as the user on Apple account. I tried to change that but eventually created a family account by adding my email and Apple ID. Now my desktop is empty, recent docs is empty, everything is empty.

where can I find my files?

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 15.0
