A widget using Wallet searches fir “connected accounts”. What is a connected account?

In my case when i select Walle t it reports «No connected accounts”.

When I access Settings , Wallet and Apple Pay I see Spple Cash with $0 balance.

I do not have an Apple Credit Card. But I have used Apple Cash in the past and their is a virtual card associated with my Apple ID.

I have a credit card listed under Payment Cards that I have setup for subscription billing.

So I do not understand what “connected account” means!

I think Apple should add information in Tips app to explain these terms snd how to use them’
