My tap to pay on my iPhone 13 is not working. My Apple Watch is able to pay with readers but my phone, after I double click the side, continue to say holder near reader.

Please call 1-800-MY-APPLE and request remote diagnostics be performed on your iPhone. Pay particular attention to the NFC module.
If it’s more convenient, you can make an appointment for the Genius Bar at an Apple Store and they can perform diagnostics and other tests.

I can’t really think of a reason that Tap to pay is not working.
But maybe if you have a cover on your iPhone, try to take that off and try again.

It’s possible the NFC module has stopped working. Do you have Face ID setup and enabled on your iPhone?
Apple can perform remote diagnostics on your iPhone. What country are you in?
I do have Face ID. Tap to pay used to work at stores and with taking cc with square for my business but it’s no longer picking up the reader or cc.
