Which is a better option to purchase, MacBook Air 15" or MacBook Pro 16"?

Hey, i am looking for a new computer as mine is about to shut down forever, i have always been a fan of apple but never owned a macbook. So i thought i’d check them out, but now im stuck between a 15inch Air or 16inch Pro. From all the reviwes i have read the Air is good for students, which i am but the Pro is more durable?. I do watch shows like 24/7, even when i am studying on the computer and sleeping, i always need some background noice. So will the Pro be better and hold up longer for both 24/7 show watching and school work? Or is the Air just fine since it is a cheaper option?.

In terms of durability, you need to treat any notebook computer with care.

There are three rough levels in the current Mac notebook line.

13" and 15" MacBook Airs with plain M3 chips.
14" MacBook Pros with plain M3 chips.
14" and 16" MacBook Pros with M3 Pro and M3 Max chips.

The first two have the same processor – just stuffed into different "boxes." This affects things such as what RAM choices you have when ordering, how many USB-C (Thunderbolt) expansion ports you get, and what support you get for external displays.

Note that the 16" MBP is much heavier than the 13"/15" MBAs or the 14" MBP. If portability is a concern, you may want to do the comparison between a 15" MBA and a 14" MBP.
