“Set Watch Face” missing from Shortcuts app

I am using an iPhone 15 Pro iOS version 18.0.1 my watch is on version 11.0.1 - in other words, I am up-to-date and not running any betas

I have some shortcuts that use a command called “set active watch face“ those shortcuts work well. However, when I have gone to set up some new shortcuts, I can no longer find that command in Shortcuts.

does anyone know if there is a substitution for that command? I can’t find one. Why would it be removed? I would love some guidance.

Thank you, Alancito, for your response. I'm perplexed that the option shows on your phone and not on mine. I have restated my phone and it's still not there. Oddly, it does show up as a choice in building a shortcut on my iPad. I will look again after the release of 18.1 to see if it reappears on my iPhone.

I wonder if anyone else will comment here with a suggestion about what may be causing the discrepancy.

This same scenario happened to me after upgrading to iOS 18.1. I’m on an iPhone 16 Pro Max and after updating, all the shortcut functions for the Watch app disappeared.

What seemed to resolve the issue was deleting the app, but you also must unpair your Apple Watch. A little bit of a pain, but after reinstalling and re-pairing, the functions restored.
