Siri's new feature won't light up when I say "Hey Siri"

I'm in Florida and nothing changed after the update. I'd recommend reaching to Apple directly. Since you're in the US, you can call them at 800-MY-APPLE

After you update the iPhone to 18.1 you will have a new tap in the settings “Apple Intelligence and Siri” Then you have to tap to this new tap and then in the language option choose English United States, then a button will appear to join for the waitlist

Ok so I changed my languages from Australian English to USA English but that didn’t help but I changed my temperature settings to C° and my unit to UK and it finally went from downloading to “turn on Apple intelligence” and I turned it on but my screen edge is still not lighting up.

Same thing happening to my phone , I got iPhone 16 pro max , iOS 18.1 and joined the wait list and turned on all Apple intelligence options still the light not showing up around the screen

I had to reset my phone and nothing like new when I bought it

I purchased a new iPhone 16 Pro Max. When I say, "Hey Seri", the light does not illuminate around the border of the phone. I saw someone else say this to their new iPhone 16 and the border of the display illuminated.

When I first activated apple intelligence it lit up, then it just stopped. Still works on my iPad though. Figure it’s just the usual Apple bad at software details stuff that is rampant the last few years.

Was there ever a solution to this? We just signed up with ATT and our family got six IPhone 16pros. 2 of them don’t do the big pulse like a light wave across the screen and then stay lit around the edges like the other 4.

Yes. I updated to iOS 18.1 and have opted in to receive Apple Intelligence.
