Universal Control not working after Sequoia 15.1 update

After updating MacOS Sequoia to 15.1, Universal Control between my MacBook Air M1 and iPad air M1 is working intermittently so i can't use my mac's keyboard and touchpad to drag things on the iPad etc. etc.

It basically works for 1-2 minutes then stops. I also noticed that in Settings -> Displays, the iPad being recognized as a second screen come and goes. It looks like the Mac recognizes the iPad and the minute after doesn't recognize it anymore and it disappears.

The settings are the same as before the update and all are turned on correctly.

Apart from the Macbook using Sequoia 15.1, my iPad is on iPadOS 18.1.

Anyone facing the same issue and maybe found a fix?

I am facing the exact same issue. It kills my workflow ever since I updated to Sequoia, two months ago.

Apple please fix it, this is a great deal for us in the ecosystem not being able to perform daily tasks.

This way it takes far longer. Thanks for considering this!

My Mac doesn't recognize my iPad at all. Even when wired connected. There is no pop-up drop-down menu.

Weirdly enough, it recognizes my Samsung TV. I use a 2020 Macbook Air M1 and an iPad air 5th gen M1 as well.
