British English corrections for my audio input to text, even though I'm in the US region

Just recently, whenever I leave text by audio which I often do if I'm in the car, the spelling has turned to the Kings English -- that is British English spelling. I get 'u' for colour and other sort of words like that ...but I don't get TYRE for tire.

A lot of the England English gets put into my words in the text. How do I turn this off?!

I need my American English audio transcription back here in the US!!!

Thanks for any and all...

Hi _RobF

re: British English corrections for my audio input to text, even though I'm in the US region

You may want to check that your general language settings are what you want them to be:

Eg: Settings  > General > Language & Region

or for more info:

See how to: Change the language on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

Else: Wondering which software you are using for the audio input / transcription, (eg Voice Memos, an Apple accessibility feature, or a third-party (non-Apple) app, or ?) ie: There may. or may not be settings that you can change in the software itself.

All the best :-)
