Emoji Keyboard size is large after updating to iOS 18.1

The new keyboard is awful and impractical. Nobody uses those ugly ahh memojis and now they are in the first line and the emojis in general are gigantic… unnecessary

I found a way to at least get the stickers off the emoji keys. Go to keyboards on the settings and scroll all the way down to the bottom, you will see “stickers” and just un select it.

I cannot stand the grandma sized emoji keyboard, please bring back the normal sized emoji keyboard. This is terrible apple.

I HATE this so much. Please change it back!

on the latest 18.1.1 IOS version and start having this issue, tried to report it, when prompt to select which IOS it is, it doesn't even give me the option of the latest version lol

really don’t like it. apple bring back the normal size it’s wayyyy to zoomed in and to big

If this is a new phone it’s clearly that you haven’t used enough recent emojis yet to fill in the recents… but I agree the massive keyboard blows. I’d suggest tapping on all your favorites to fill in your recents.

Have you used the provided feedback link to let Apple know how you feel? Apple will not read your post here.

Previously users complained that the emojis were too small, so they listened and made them bigger. Sending them feedback is the only way you can ever expect any change or maybe even an option to vary the size.

You are not speaking to Apple here. The Support site is made up of users just like you. You will see the Feedback link that has been provided many times here and that would be the way to let Apple know how you feel. Users previously complained about the emojis being too small and apparently their voice was heard. If you want your voice heard, I suggest using that same method. Maybe they can provide a setting to allow both sizes.

I just updated to iOS 18.1 last night , looking forward to the different things the update was going to bring. Well… when I just sent my first emoji this morning… it is SO BIG….. This is a mess!!!! What in the world!?!🌍. Very interesting, on this post it’s not large but they are huge on my text threads . I’m hoping Apple will hear the VOICE OF THE PEOPLE! And provide a fix!

Choose iOS 18.1

iOS 18.1.1 was just a small security update and the bigger emojis that were requested from previous users complaining that they were too small is seen in 18.1 as well.

They won't hear your voice here, but the feedback link has been posted many times. That is where Apple evaluates user feedback, just like they did when users complained that they were too small. Let them know how you feel. The ideal solution would be to have the option for small/large emojis.
