Apple Pay on EFTPOS Machines not working

Over the last week or so, when I have gone to pay on an EFTPOS machine with my bank card(s) on my phone it hasn't worked at all. It is as though the EFTPOS machine isn't even registering that I'm holding the phone over it to pay. I have tried taking my phone cover off, which worked once or twice and now that's not even working. I have tried deleting and adding my cards and it's still not working. I have also tried updating my phone - still not working. Any suggestions? Thanks :)

I suspect you’re seeing the effects of recent changes in Australia regarding dual network transactions.

Since I wrote that over a month ago it seems the change is a requirement for Apple Wallet to be in compliance with Australian banking regulations that went into effect last July.

There are several post recently that linked to a few Australian banks and had statements about the changes required.

With all that said you best sources for information will be contacting your bank’s support team and also Apple Support in Australia.
