Apple Watch Face ‘Baloons’ Up
Recently my AW-S5 periodically would suddenly zoom in and freeze on a fragment of the normal screen; say, part of the number 2 on the clock face. There would be a haptic click and the watch face would be frozen on some tiny part of the face. Only turning the watch off and on would restore normal function. I bought a new AW-S10 and the same behavior continued. A text session with Apple tech -> Genius Bar appointment, which was skipped with hopes the issue would resolve in a future iOS update.
Solution discovered: Watch App on iPhone - Accessibility - Vision - Zoom - Turn to Off. So simple. Apparently, certain hand gestures activate the zoom in, which is why it would trigger spontaneously. The Zoom (which got turned on by mistake some time ago) was saved in iCloud backup and was inherited by the new S10 setup. Hope this intel is useful.
