airpod single sided hearing aid

I am deaf in my right ear and I don’t mind buying a normal AirPod set but I have a few questions. Am I going to be able to complete the hearing test? Can I wear the right AirPod in the left ear? It would be awesome if I could wear both normally and transmit the right unit over to the left, giving me much better “coverage”. I know it would not give me stereo hearing. TIA
