Is it now possible to downgrade a new version of watchOS?

I noticed an ennoying bug which appeared with version of watchOS 10.

But in the recent bug fixes release notes of successives versions of watchOS, there is no mention this bug is fixed.

Then I would like to test a new version of watchOS ( 10.6 ) to check if it fixes this ennoying bug,

accepting temporarily the pain or damage of new bugs.

And if it isn't fixed I would like to come back to the actual version which is, from my user

experience, one of the recent versions to have a minimal number of bugs and a great stability

with no reboot.

And here is my real question:

is it now possible to downgrade a new version of watchOS?

If not, when this basic recovery function will be available?

these

forums are user helping other users like yourself, it's sort of going to a

physical apple store and asking other customers there advice

as far as I know it's not possible to downgrade or to install other versions then the latest supported one

when or if that is ever going to be something they offer it is hard to say but you can

suggest it to their feedback channel

In addition to the above very correct advice, it may not be possible for you to update to watchOS 10.6 at all. To the best of my knowledge, there is no version of the Apple Watch that can only be updated to watchOS 10, though I could be wrong. When you update the watchOS, it updates to the latest version the watch can support. At the time of this writing, that's 11.1.

@Rudegar:

Thank you for the reminder of the definition of these discussion groups I am on since 20 years.

This is a useful reminder… for everyone.

At the same time many of the users here like myself, are system, software, security engineers

and might have highly valuable professionnal experience.

This was my primary motivation to ask this question here. To avoid commercial [censored] for the dummies.

On a parallel path, I will also ask to colleagues working at Apple,

reach Apple Care directly, and as you kindly suggested,

I will also use the Apple feedback channel.

Thank you.
