My iPhone does not ring when I am wearing my Apple Watch

My phone won’t ring when I have my watch on, I want my phone to ring also, I can’t always feel or hear my watch because of the work environment I’m in, I miss call on a regular basis everyday. I want to have my watch on but I need the phone to ring also. I’m a mechanic at a ski resort, just to much going on. This is driving me nuts!! Need Apple to stop thing for me.
