Internal Camera not recognized on Sequoia 15.1

When I updated to Sequoia 15.1, the internal camera on my MacBook Pro M1 2020 stopped being recognized by the system. The camera does not appear in the system information "camera" tab, FaceTime displays a "To use FaceTime, connect a camera" message, and upon running Apple Diagnostics, I received an NDC001 Reference Code. Apple support's suggestion was to take the computer into a physical location to be checked (which I plan on doing), but I doubt it is a hardware issue given that it stopped working after I performed a system update to the new operating system which allows for the Handoff functionality. I followed Apple's steps to attempt to fix camera issues, including an SMC reset, to no avail. Is this a known issue?

Not necessarily. I have a camera that is not recognised in Sequoia. It’s not listed anywhere as a USB camera.

Yet if I boot into Monterey , the camera is listed and works normally.

This suggest something has changed between those OS releases and it’s a software issue.

Respectfully

OP Specifically mentions a MacBook Pro M1 2020 and in the same sentence Specifically mentions a 9 Month old Mac Mini

They also specifically mentioned and quote " Internal Camera  "

So far so good ?

1 - There has never been a Builtin Camera on a Mac Mini - full stop

2 - Builtin Camera would appear in Camera category of System Information

3 - If it does not appear - this could be a indicator of a Hardware Failure

Refer below for a M3 MBA running Sequoia 15.1
