I reviewed and completed every solution offered in this string and my watch will not track steps, heart rate or standing. Additionally the wrist rotation that previously would activate the screen no longer functions.

To rule out a software issue, the next step would be erasing the watch, pairing it again as a new device without using the latest backup:
