Apple Watch Ultra 2 Battery Capacity after 2 Weeks!

Hey there all,

Here to just ask a few questions about the Apple Watch Ultra 2 and what to do next.

Brought a Black Titanium Apple Watch Ultra 2 on the 31st October, Its been a great upgrade from my Series 7. However, after under 2 weeks of use, I noticed my battery life being worse than new. As of writing this, its at 93% on the 12 November, which seems to be extremely high drop after not even a month of usage.

Just wondering what to do now, as Im just barely getting a day of use out of it now. Has anyone else noticed this, is it a defective device?

You should contact the official Apple Support about this, they can diagnose your Apple Watch Ultra online.

I am using my Apple Watch Ultra 2 for one year now, normal use and closing my Fitness rings every day, and my battery health is 99%

Contact Apple for support and service - Apple Support

After I upgraded to watchOS 11, I had to erase and pair my watch again, to get back the battery life I had in watchOS 10.

Unpair and erase your Apple Watch - Apple Support

After that watchOS will also recalculate your battery health, but 93% is way too low for an 14days old Apple Watch Ultra 2.

Yeah, spent an hour online with support and they did an online diagnostic and said there were no issues, both with software and hardware. Didn't quite understand that I was talking about the battery health and capacity and not the daily battery life. Kept saying it will go down with usage which of course is completely normal lol. I'm using it daily with standard usage, less than what apple puts through their own battery life testing. I'm on WatchOS 11 which is what it was delivered with and set it up as new watch too and didn't use a backup of my old watch.

My Series 7 which I used near enough every day for 3 years is at 90%, so there is a serious problem here.

They were! Went to my local Apple Store which is also the one I picked up my watch from. Booked a Genius Bar appointment and went straight into the replacement process. I forgot the original box and charger and they said that wasn’t an issue at all and that all they needed to do was to remove the charger from the new watch they have me. I did have apple care however don’t think it was required due to the type of issue. But worth getting if you still can, then just cancel it, that’s what I did.
