Can my wife use iOS Remote app to access music I am playing on a Mac Mini?

For a variety unimportant reasons I am using a Mac Mini to play music to Airplay speakers in my house. I use the Remote app on my iPhone or iPad to control what is playing and where it is to be played. I had assumed that with home sharing enabled that my wife would also be able to access the shared library. I have not been able to connect the remote app on my wife’s iPhone to this library. Can my wife access this library as it is playing on the Mac Mini?
