Contacts to Numbers - drag and drop not working
I'm on Sequoia 15.1. I cannot select items in Contacts and drag/drop them into a Numbers spreadsheet. Suggestions?

I have to admit that I'm stumped. Dragging and copying/pasting both work on my end.
I'm going to ask the hosts to move this thread to the Numbers Community so that the Numbers Community experts see it. I'm sure they'll be able to help.

There are multiple components to this. It isn't clear where it's breaking.
For example, it isn't clear if Contacts isn't letting you drag the contacts to a different app, or, if Numbers isn't accepting the drop.
In my first try here I just grabbed a contact and dragged, but it selected a range of contacts. In order to initiate a drag, I had to click-and-hold until I got the icon representing a number of contacts:
Once I got that I tried dragging it to the Numbers.app icon, but that didn't work. I was able to drag it into an existing Numbers document. If dragged to a blank area, it created a new table for the contacts, and if dragged to an existing table it creates new rows with the contact data.
Thanks for the prompt reply, but those actions did not change the situation.
I have a modest subset of records in Contacts (about 70) and I cannot select-drag-drop them from Contacts to Numbers. Nor does copy past work.
You may have run afoul of the ever tightening Privacy & Security controls with each new macOS.
You might want to check Systems Settings.
Search for 'access' and choose 'Allow applications to access Contacts'.
Numbers should be listed there and the switch next to it should be turned on.
(Drag and drop from Contacts is working as expected here in Sequoia 15.1. The first time I tried it I saw a pop-up where I had to give Numbers permission.)

It's still not working, but I had some success.
I tried carefully selecting a set of contacts in CONTACTS, waiting for the card icon with a number, and then dragging and dropping them into NUMBERS. It worked with 1, then 2, 5, and 10 for a total of 18.
Then would not work when I tried dragging 20, 10, or 5 but did work for 1. Got up to 38 contacts in NUMBERS doing one at a time, but now cannot get any more into NUMBERS, no matter how many contacts I select to move over.
So in general, no real solution yet. Thanks for trying.
It’s still working on my end with macOS Sequoia 15.1. Try to reboot your Mac. If the issue persists, delete Numbers and download it afresh from the App Store.
Thank you.
Settings for Contacts to allow access to Numbers is ON. I tried resetting anyhow (from off to on). No difference. I still cannot drag contacts into numbers.
If you have any third-party clipboard managers or similar then you could try experimenting by turning them off. Also couldn't hurt to try restarting your Mac again.
