When I try to boot my MacBook Pro A2141, all I get is a battery symbol and then it shuts down. Please see the attached pic (Black Screen then shuts down)

Your MacBook Pro battery is empty. You need to charge it, though it is possible that your MacBook Pro battery is something wrong. You'd better take your MacBook Pro to your local retail AppleStore, Genius Bar or Apple Authorized Service Provider to be examined your MacBook Pro battery there.

I charged the unit for several hours.
I guess I will be taking it to the Bar.

According to MacTracker, A2141 is a MBPro 16" (2019) model. This particular model's Logic Board has an extremely high rate of failure. Save your time & money and purchase a new laptop.
