Macbook Pro A2141 - How to reinstall firmaware using a windows machine?

I had Ventura installed, during a process of upgrade of the Mac OS something failed and the os started with an error that documentation suggest to reinstall the firmware.

I try to reinstall back the OS but it seems it was not the problem, Im no longer able to boot the machine and the reinstall of the OS always fails at the middle of the process.

My other machine have windows running, so I was wondering how can I reinstall the Firmware that seems to be broken If I don't have any other Apple device.

It is any other way to do it?

According to MacTracker, A2149 comes back as a MBPro 16" (2019) model. Save your money & purchase a new laptop. That particular model laptop has an extremely high rate of failure with its Logic Board. There have been reports on this forum where people had Logic Board failures immediately after having that Logic Board replaced (1st time use at home even), and a few report a third failure after which Apple denied them repairs.

I personally do not recommend anyone to repair any of the 2016-2020 Intel Macs with USB-C ports for multiple reasons, but especially not this 16" (2019) model.

As for the DFU firmware Revive/Restore process, I would provide Apple with product feedback here (Apple won't respond):

Product Feedback - Apple

I would even suggest contacting Apple corporate about the problem of not having another acceptable Mac to perform the DFU firmware Revive/Restore since it requires access to another new Mac...not even older Macs can be used. I doubt Apple even cares, but that is the best you can do other than voting with your wallet. The M-series Macs also require the DFU firmware Revive more often than the Intel Macs to resolve boot issues. Considering the Apple laptop and macOS have been slowly moving towards becoming oversized iPads without touchscreen, I doubt Apple will change anything since DFU Mode has been part of the iPhone/iPad universe since the beginning.

You cannot recover firmware or any other software on your Mac from a Windows machine. It can only be done from another Mac and it generally only applies to certain models of Mac. See:

How to revive or restore Mac firmware - Apple Support

Perhaps if you post more details about where the process of upgrading macOS failed and if possible the exact text of the error message(s), someone can offer advice.

Regards.

MacBook and MacBook Pro as old as 2015 models can run Monterey.

FYI, I'm not sure that is accurate anymore at least for the later models. I have a Mac with Ventura and had access to another Mac running Sonoma, but neither one would work to be the host....absolutely nothing happened in the Finder. I even tried using the latest version of Apple Configurator on the Sonoma host without any luck...even after installing the last update patches. I tried this just after Sequoia was released. The only way I could perform the DFU firmware Revive/Restore was to actually install the Sequoia upgrade on the one host Mac. Then the DFU firmware Revive/Restore process worked with both Finder & Apple Configurator.

If you try to download Apple Configurator from the App Store, it required macOS 14.x Sonoma last year although the documentation for the DFU firmware Revive/Restore article still says 12.4+. I tried to report it to Apple, but they didn't seem to care since the documentation still appears to be outdated.

Yes, actually that is the only other option on the table, it cost 100$ the full reinstall (firmware included) here in Costa Rica. Just because it is apple.

The awful part is that it is something I should be able to do. First because I m a Software Engineer, it is actually not that hard to do. Second because it was an update what broke it.

It is just that I do not have any other apple device, or know anyone with one.
