Unable to add a new contact in Contacts App using Mac OS Sequoia 15.1 on M1 MacBook Pro

Unable to add a new contact in Contacts App using Mac OS Sequoia 15.1 on M1 MacBook Pro. Regardless of whether I initiate a new contact from Contacts File menu or from the + sign in an open contact window, once I enter the a first name in the appropriate field the new contact window refreshes and disappears leaving me with only my existing contacts window.

I recently updated to Sequoia 15.1 and suspect it may be the issue. Contacts with iOS devices works fine and will sync with my Mac contacts without issue.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just to add

Adding a New Contact

Ask Google if they have fixed Their Service to play nice when used on macOS

It is not the other way around

Apple has never tailored their Software to accommodate Other Third Party Services

On the constructive side

Take the computer Off - Line ( No Internet Connection )

Add your contact information

Does it work as expected ?

if you’re using a Google contact server, that’s been a known issue with them for a decade at least. Nobody knows why they can’t fix it.One work around is to create a local on my Mac address account in Contacts to enter data and then copy it over to your Google account.
