External display via usb-c does not work, still an issue

I work in the portable monitor business, getting a lot of returns for various monitors and crippling the brand for MacBook users.

There's an OS update that has disabled support for external usb-c powered monitors which run at 4k 60/144hz, panels such as B173ZAN06.4 do no work but NE160QDM-NY1 does (lower res) both using same drive-board and usb-c cables (same display connection technology).

This is crippling my small business, so an update would be great!
