My husband cannot see the apple family invite in his settings that I am sending so he can't let our son out of his apple family group!

So we want to put control of the apple family group under me, as I have an iPhone and my husband does not. He does have a Macbook.

My son is currently in his apple family group. My son has an iPhone, not a MacBook.

When I send an invite to my son to join my apple group, he cannot accept it because he is part of my husband's group. But my husband has not received the invite in his Mac settings, even though he should have, right? What can I do so that my husband sees the invite! Thanks!
