iPad 10th Gen Microphone Issues

The microphone on my 10th gen iPad isn’t working properly. I tried recording a voice memo and the wave form was small and my voice was so faint that you could barely hear it at full volume. Siri can’t pick it up at all. It’s not a permissions issue given the failure with Apple apps. Removing the case did not help. Anyone know how to increase mic volume or resolve? Thx. Bill
