I have always been able to extend my MacBook display to iMac with ease using the double screen icon or display settings.
It just stopped recently. I no longer see any other choices in my display settings (it would pick up my iPad as well if in range)
The only thing different was I added the iMac to find my... beforehand (and took to a while to get it to do so)
I've followed some online info to check wifi etc. to no avail. Please advise?

that is the symbol for Mac Screen Sharing. Its use has changed slightly after Ventura.
what version MacOS?
if that icon is still around in your dock, you can click on it to attempt connection again.

Good afternoon, thank you for taking time to reply.
Just used for having a second screen with different content on. I believe it was via airplay as they have never been connected physically. (sit next to each other on my desk).

Were you using AirPlay to Mac, with the iMac set up as an AirPlay Receiver?
