A different way?

I used to use my 'Genres' to categorize my music library when going for a run or listening to music while working in the yard. What I found it to be most useful for, was to place quickly grab music in my library that would melt together during an activity. This is such an absurd failure on Apple's part! To remove a more efficient way to navigate within your own music library, ugh! Does anyone know if there's a way to do that within your downloaded music library or is the whole thing screwed. WTF Apple
