How to stop ITunes from duplicating songs when I add them to a playlist

I’ve noticed that ITunes duplicates a song every time I add it to a playlist. For example, if I add a song from Green Day’s 2024 album Saviors to a “Best of 2024” playlist, and then to a “Best of Green Day” playlist, if I then look at the Saviors album tracklist (or play the Saviors album), that song will be listed/play three times. It’s very annoying when I just want to listen to the album and have to skip forward through the duplicate tracks. Yes I can delete the duplicates by swiping left on the individual tracks on my phone, but not only is this time consuming, but each time I sync my phone to my computer, the duplicates reappear. So is there a way to create a playlist on ITunes without having duplicates of the songs added to the original album tracklist?
