Jumping up a folder level in iPhone Notes app

I’m in a folder called "Arts,” from there I open a folder called "Writing,” then I open a folder called "Poetry.”

There are two folders in "Poetry,” one called "Other Poets” and one called "My Original Poems.”

So I open "My Original Poems.”

From there I edit one of my poems.

Ya with me? 😊

Now I want to leave the

"My Original Poems” folder and go up a level to the "Poetry” folder, so I can open the folder called "Other Poets” because I want to review someone else’s poem.

PROBLEM: Sometimes I can do that, but usually when I try to leave the folder I’m in, the only option offered to me is "All Folders” which takes me out of this hierarchy and starts at ground zero-the master list.

And from there I have to navigate back to where I was!

Is there a pull down menu I’m missing that will take me one level up??

Having to navigate back to Master list of folders, so I can navigate all the way back to my writing projects is absurd enough that I will stop everything to come here and ask this question!

Please help..

PLEASE don’t give me a link to the Notes App Instructions. The answer is not there.

😊
