iPhone 14 suddenly switched off and overheating

Hi all,

I have an iPhone 14 that’s been running fine since I bought it in April 2023. I’ve been using it as normal today, and when I go to sleep I connect my AirPods and listen to a podcast. I did the same thing tonight, but my podcast stopped after a couple of minutes and my AirPods disconnected. When I checked my phone, it was completely switched off.

It wasn’t connected to a charger, and I had around 54% battery. I noticed it started to get really hot on the back top right and right side (volume button side).

I’ve left it to cool down as it won’t switch on again. What could be causing this? I haven’t done anything different with my phone today so I’m really confused.
