Lost clips after resetting preferences. Project names are still in there though.

When I tried to export into a file, I kept running into an issue of where it wouldn't export the name of my file and only save a 3083720-239740834-0762829.mp4 I was not able to open it or play it back. I went online and saw that I should reset my preferences. when I did so it opened to no projects in FCP. But I managed to recover it by typing in the title of the project. it's somehow synced and I fixed a clip to see if it would change the export outcome. It did not. So I reset it again and this time when I opened it, it was able to show me the project names of all I did, but none of the clips were attached to it. It's all a bunch of 00:00:00s. That was an accumulated eight hours worth of work and I'm hoping there's something I can do to restore it... Please help...

When you reset preferences, the application has lost memory of the previously open library and opens a default library called Untitled as Ian showed. You have to find your own library and open it. Make sure you do not open any of backup data libraries that have date/times in the title. They don't have any media either; they only contain the library data.
