If you sent money to someone using Messages, then you are probably out of luck. Apple specifically tells you not to send money to someone you do not know. That is a private transaction between 2 people without any protections offered by a credit card. It would be the same as giving someone on the street $100, with the only recourse being to ask them for your money back.
Apple Cash person-to-person payments are like any other private transaction between two people, so only send and receive money with people you know.
