“Send Later” command has disappeared from the menu on my iPhone Messages app

The drop-down menu that extends from the plus sign to the left of the message field has lost the “Send Later” command – just after I used it. It has been gone for a while. However it is still where it should be on my iPad. Has anyone else run into this problem?
