Their response to my first email was to contact Apple, and since it wasn't their platform there was nothing they could do.
In my opinion, it's immaterial that it's "not their platform". The host of the Podcast controls where their shows are stored (for downloading to you). It's also their responsibility to add those shows to the Podcast outlets that they wish to use and it's always up to them to get their Podcast available. It's in their interest after all.
Furthermore, the process of getting a Podcast to the public (via Podcatchers) has become much more complicated, which means that you, the listener, are far less likely to be able to get an issue fixed since you don't know what is going on behind the scenes to get that Podcast to you.
Their response was literally "thanks for the info". That was it
I can't explain why they should give a response like that.
If it's any comfort (and it probably won't be) I want to download the Podcast of a series named Ultima Thule Ambient Music, but as anyone who follows the programme knows, it's a nightmare and has been for several years now. I've all but given up.
