iPod not recognizable on iPad

Just bought a refurbished iPod and everything works fine until I plugged it into my iPad to sync music to it try two different cables that are new so I don’t think it’s a cable problem. I also when I plugged it in it does have the do not disconnect sign on it so I know it’s connected, but I can’t find it on my computer anywhere I have an MacBook Air 13”

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 12.7

iPads cannot sync to iPods in any way shape or form.

You need a computer to sync content to the iPod.

On your Mac it should appear in Finder under Locations.

click here ➜ Sync iPod touch with your computer - Apple Support

Make sure Locations is expanded, and that the iOS devices option is checked in Finder Settings ➜ Sidebar.
