I have lost some music from itunes when transferring to new computer. (I know its apple music now but I'm old so be kind!!) If I download Apple Music would all my music be there even if some was imported as opposed to purchased?

Thanks for the reply. I no longer have the computer or originals so I think I've lost my music for good. I thought I had read somewhere that Apple Music would have all my itunes music whether purchased or imported so I was going to do the free trial and then cancel but it doesn't look like that's the case anyway.
Apple Music (the subscription service) can load up all of your music and playlists when enabled on a computer or device, but you would have needed to do that on a computer or device that has your content, and checked that everything had matched or uploaded successfully, before you disposed of it.

See Move your iTunes library to a new computer - Apple Community. Personally I would avoid Apple Music/TV/Devices for Windows. They are not yet a suitable replacement for iTunes.
