Apple Music keep disconnecting from Amazon Alexa

I have Apple Music linked to my Amazon Alexa and it works fine — when it's linked. The problem is that they've obviously coded it to disconnect after a certain period of time. Why even offer this functionality if they're just going to keep disconnecting it? It's just a sleazy attempt to make Amazon Music look that much more appealing. Honestly, they're really just making Apple's HomePod look more attractive. Can anyone offer some insight on this? Am I completely out to lunch on this? Thank!
