Siri no longer reacts to 'Hey Siri I like that song' command on iPhone 15 Pro Max

I have a HomePod [Large one] and 3 x MiniPods all set up and working correctly from my Apple Music account.

All Updated as of 13 Dec 2024.

Question is This:

I used to give her a command "Hey Siri I like that Song" and she would say "I'll tell Apple Music that you like thad song"

I would find it on my Apple Music Playlist on iMac and next to the song was a ❤️ so could then move it up or whatever I wished to do.

Simmerley the command "Hey Siri I don't like that song" is also not working with her - she used to say "I'll tell Apple Music you don't like this song"

I would go to my Apple Music Playlist and find the Symbol of Speaker with a Cross through it and Remove the Download.

My husband solved this last one by saying "Hey Siri Don't Play that Song Again"

THIS WORKED and I could then remove it from Apple Music.

I have an iPhone 15 Pro Max and I know I can FAVOURITE it on the iphone App but thats not the point

WHY has Siri just stopped reacting to the Like it command - this started about 8 weeks ago.

Apple Consultant just wanted me to RESET and UPDATE all of the Pods but I had alreadly done that.

Really did not have an answer.

Personally I feel its an Update Issue as Siri used to react to both "I like that or dislike that song" but at least I thought I would share the one SOLUTION my husband found and it works.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Cheers from Western Australia

This is so annoying.

I hoped it would be fixed in the latest update (ca. end of December 2024), but it has not.

I don’t understand:

  • why did the break it?
  • why didn’t they notice it in their testing?
  • why don’t they fix it?
