Why can't I find my song count on iPad or iPhone?

So I’m always close to exceeding the 100,000 song limit on Apple Music including songs I’ve uploaded from cds or purchased on iTunes. As of some recent update on iOS I can no longer find out how many songs are in my library so I know if I need to delete music. Used to be able to see this at least on my iPad. Now I can’t. Nor can I on iPhone. I must be over limit because shuffle no longer works and I can’t even play my music at all.

Without using a PC or a MacBook, how do I find out the total number of songs in my library? I’m not talking about downloaded songs to my iPad or iPhone. I’m talking about all my songs. Where else can I find this information and why doesn’t Apple show this on the iPad or iPhone. Is it that difficult to pay a programmer to fix?
