Importing iTunes Playlists to Apple HomePod

I have dumped my Sonos System because it no longer imports, supports or recognises Playlists that I have compliled in iTunes over many years,

Before I spend several hundreds of pounds on an Apple HomePod system, can I ask if it will impost and recognise these manually compiled playlists in iTunes?
