Why is the Point & Click menu missing on my Magic Mouse?

I have a MacBook Air and recently bought a Magic Mouse 2. I managed to connect it however, the Point&Click menu in the settings would not appear. This menu appears on the trackpad, but not on the mouse. I tried connecting and reconnecting it again and it does not work. The mouse is charged and left & right click are working properly. The laptop is also updated (Sonoma 14.7.2). Should I seek help from a local store?

Thanks in advance!

If you bought the Magic Mouse USB-C, you need to use macOS Sequoia. It won't be compatible with macOS Sonoma 14.7.2.

If you want (or need) to stay on macOS Sonoma, exchange the Magic Mouse USB-C for a Magic Mouse with a Lightning port. This model will be compatible with your Mac.

Hello Mind8,

Sorry, no, there is no way to use it on your Mac. The iMac 2017 cannot be upgraded to macOS Sequoia which is a requirement for the Magic Mouse USB-C.

Return the Magic Mouse USB-C and get the Magic Mouse with a Lightning port instead.
